Eitz Chaim is a Messianic Jewish Congregation

Our name, Eitz Chaim, means 'Tree of Life'.

The heart of our desire corresponds to our name. In Proverbs it says:

How blessed is the man who finds wisdom And the man who gains understanding. ... Long life is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways And all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who hold her fast.
Proverbs 3:13, 18-20

And, where does Proverbs say that a man can find this wisdom?

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction. Hear, my son, your father's instruction And do not forsake your mother's teaching; Indeed, they are a graceful wreath to your head And ornaments about your neck.
Proverbs 1:7-9

So, what would a godly father's instruction and a godly mother's teaching be?

"Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!" You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.
Deuteronomy 6:4-7

This leads to a question about the nature of the life offered. Is it eternal life? Yeshua said:

"You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.
John 5:39-40

If eternal life is not found in obeying the scripture, then where is eternal life? Yeshua said:

"This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Yeshua haMoshiach whom You have sent."
John 17:3-4

Then what value, what life is in obeying the instruction of the scripture? Yeshua said:

"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments."
John 14:15

True faith implies faithfulness.  They are two sides of the same coin and cannot be separated.  James tells us that faith without works is dead.  We are commanded to be doers of the Word, not hearers only.  If we are truly New Creations in Messiah, and He is truly L-RD of our life, then this will be demonstrated by a changed life and a desire to walk in holiness and righteousness.  You shall know a tree by its fruit, and if we have been born again from above and the Holy Spirit dwells within us, then our lives will bear good fruit , befitting citizens of the Kingdom and children of the King.  Our delight will be to do the L-RD’s will and to obey His Word.   If we love Him, we will keep His commandments.

The Tree of Life (Eitz Chaim)  represents the Word of G-d.  It also represents the Living Word, Y’Shua, as well as the Tree upon which He was crucified – the Tree of Death that became the Tree of Life!  In Him, and through His death and resurrection on our behalf, we have eternal life
